One of the most important events at Kennesaw State University every spring semester is the awards ceremony at which the outstanding seniors and graduate students from each of the University’s degree programs are celebrated for their academic achievements.
This year we are pleased to announce Kimberly Holland as the 2011 recipient of the Outstanding Graduate Award in the Master of Public Administration Program
Kimberly Holland's Biography
Growing up in a house where both parents worked in the government sector gave her the opportunity to observe the model of public service in action. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Geography, and was immediately motivated for public sector job with an environmental focus. She currently works for the City of Marietta as a Project Manager for the Water Department. Both the Water Department and the City of Marietta have been extremely supportive of her participation in the Georgia Association of Water Professionals along with her pursuit of the Master of Public Administration degree. Kimberly is a recipient of the Arthur Sidney Bedell Award, as well as the Emerging Leader Award and President’s Award from the Georgia Association of Water Professionals. Her hard work has earned her the Employee of the Quarter and the Employee of the Year recognitions from the City of Marietta in 2003 and 2008, respectively.
